manifesting, magazines, and mocktails: our moodboard night recap

Last week, the Swell Studio team gathered around a table stacked with magazines and scissors and GOT TO WORK. We weren’t just crafting—we were manifesting. Our annual Moodboard Night was all about getting our creative juices flowing and turning our 2025 dreams into something tangible—and honestly, it was a blast.

Armed with charcuterie and a vision for the new year, we cut, pinned, and laughed our way through the night. The vibe? Kind of like your middle school sleepover arts-and-crafts session but with big goals, business dreams, and slightly better snacks.

Each of us filled our boards with everything from bold quotes and dream destinations to photos of projects we want to crush this year. But it wasn’t just about slapping pretty pictures on poster boards—it was about sharing what really matters to us in 2025, both professionally and personally.

By the end of the night, we walked away with not just moodboards but a sense of excitement and clarity. There’s something really special about taking time to dream out loud, hyping each other up, and remembering why we do what we do.

If you’ve never done a moodboard night—alone, with friends, or with your work fam—trust us, it’s a vibe. Also, a quick PSA: moodboarding is not for the faint of heart. Ask Emma—who literally shed blood after a run-in with a rogue push pin. (She’s fine. But wow, the commitment!)

So here’s to 2025—the year of big goals, big wins, and maybe fewer crafting injuries. What’s on your moldboard?
